Foursquare is a social networking platform that allows users to “check in” to places that they visit on a regular basis. In addition to being a fun way of seeing what your friends are doing and where they are, it also is a game; awarding points on the basis of number of check-ins, etc.
Many businesses are starting to offer discounts or special items to people who check-in at their business, too, so it can also be a way to save money or receive a free gift!
