About
Heath W. Fahle (fah-lee) grew up in Panama, New York, and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
While in college, Fahle worked on the successful re-election campaign of U.S. Representative Rob Simmons in Connecticut’s 2nd Congressional District. After college, Heath managed the re-election campaign of VA Delegate Chris Saxman in Staunton, Virginia (20th District), guiding the campaign to a 69% victory in 2005.
Fahle returned to the Simmons organization as Political Director of the 2006 campaign. Despite the poisonous national atmosphere that saw Republicans nationwide lose control of the U.S. Congress and a local environment that saw other incumbents defeated by wide margins, the Simmons team came up just 83 votes shy of victory in the nation’s closest race of the year.
Fahle moved to Manchester, CT, in 2007 to become the Political Director of the Connecticut Republican Party. He got involved with the local Republicans and helped the GOP take a 5-4 majority control on the Board of Directors for the first time in 18 years.
In the wake of the elections, Fahle was promoted to be CTGOP’s Executive Director. In this capacity, he played a key role in organizing the Victory 2008 campaign in Connecticut – the coordinated campaign effort to elect Republicans statewide. He oversaw a field staff of four and a $200,000+ budget.
Heath left the CTGOP in 2009 to become the Policy Director at the Yankee Institute for Public Policy – Connecticut’s only free market, limited government think tank. His first research report, Slanting the Playing Field, was published in October 2009. He also served as a contributor to Connecticut Local Politics, the Nutmeg State’s most popular political blog from April 2009 to January 2010.
He remains an integral part of the Yankee Institute, overseeing Yankee’s robust internship program, managing all of Yankee’s web properties, and overseeing the publication and marketing all YI products.
Fahle founded Revolutionary Strategies, LLC, in August 2009, a consulting firm that offers website design as well as political and policy consulting for Connecticut political candidates and small businesses.
In February 2010, Heath became a contributing columnist at Connecticut News Junkie. He writes opinion pieces every other week for CTNJ.
In addition to his professional work, he is also an avid amateur photographer and plays on a co-ed recreation league softball team during the summer.
He married his wife, Emily, in May 2010. They live in East Hampton, CT with their cat and dog.
